• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle deadlines and confidential information.
• Clear written and verbal communication and ability to support staff and respond to inquiries.
• Knowledge of employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, and public sector payroll practices is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and review bi-weekly payroll for County employees in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Verify time records, calculate earnings and deductions, and maintain payroll records.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies in coordination with departments and Human Resources.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with year-end processes such as W-2s.
• Support audits and compliance reviews and respond to employee inquiries.
