Deputy Municipal Attorney - Hamilton Township, Mercer.

The Township is seeking an experienced Full-time Deputy Municipal Attorney with 5–7 years of experience to join its collaborative, high-pressure, highly visible, and fast-paced Law Department. The ideal candidate shall have strong ethical values; be able to prioritize and handle multiple matters simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy; be a hard-working team player; and be flexible and solution-oriented when addressing issues. Reporting to the Director of Law, the Deputy may be assigned the following duties, as required:

• OPRA document production
• Preparation of contracts, leases, and other legal documents
• Management of tort claims
• Preparation of ordinances and resolutions
• Interface with outside counsel
• Litigation in any and all judicial and administrative proceedings in which the Township, or any of its officers or agencies, may be a party or have an interest
• Legal research and writing
• Providing legal advice to Township officers and departments
• Appearance at Council and/or Board of Health meetings on occasion in lieu of the Director

Salary Range: $80,000–$120,000 Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage. Paid Time Off: Paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and other paid time off in accordance with Township policies
