The role plans, directs, and reviews audit work, evaluates recommendations, and leads district-wide training on internal controls and fraud prevention. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree as listed in related fields.
• Experience: Six (6) years of professional performance auditing, policy analysis, program evaluation, or similar.
• Other: Certification such as CIA/CFE/CIG desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines including GAO and IG standards.
• Skills: strong oversight, supervision, planning, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Inspector General in coordinating and directing operations, including policy development for audits and investigations.
• Conduct or supervise complex performance audits and investigations in line with professional standards.
• Plan and coordinate work of staff engaged in audits/investigations.
• Review audit/investigative reports for content and standards compliance.
• Evaluate recommendations for feasibility and impact; drive corrective actions.
• Develop performance objectives and conduct staff evaluations.
• Provide district-wide training on internal controls and fraud prevention.
