Job summary

THE PIG Hotel is looking for a Deputy Head Housekeeper to support the Head Housekeeper and lead a team of Room Attendants and Linen Porters. You will set an example, conduct monthly reviews, and drive high cleaning standards across bedrooms and public areas.

Responsibilities include front-line leadership, liaising with maintenance, managing linen, deliveries and stock, and ensuring a consistent guest experience. 35 hours per week in a hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in housingkeeping leadership or deputy head role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and standards in a hotel environment.
• Ability to manage and develop a housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Room Attendants and Linen Porters.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews and set an example on front-line service.
• Ensure cleanliness and condition of bedrooms and public areas; liaise with maintenance.
• Oversee linen, deliveries and stock; manage day-to-day operations in Head Housekeeper's absence.

Location: THE PIG-in the Cotswolds, Barnsley, GL7 5EE

Salary: £14.35 per hour (OTE £15.45 per hour including tronc).

Hours: 35 hours per week, over 5 days.

We are currently looking for an Deputy Head Housekeeper to support our Head Housekeeper with the efficient running of our housekeeping team.

Some may say the housekeeping team are the backbone of the hotel operation. For our housekeeping team it is not just about making beds, it is about having an eye for detail and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience.

As Deputy Head Housekeeper you will be assisting the Head Housekeeper by supporting and developing a team of Room Attendants and Linen Porters. You will be required to set an example, encourage their development, and carry out monthly performance reviews. You will be proactive and hands on, leading the team from the front-line to deliver exceptional levels of standards across all areas of the hotel.

On a day to day basis, you will play a key role with the preparation and cleanliness of all bedrooms and public areas. In the absence of the Head Housekeeper, you will take responsibility for ensuring the condition of all furnishings, fittings and equipment. You will need to liaise with the maintenance team and manage all linen, deliveries & stock.

Experience as a Deputy Head Housekeeping or within a similar role is preferred.
