Job summary

Larimer County Department of Human Services in Colorado is seeking a Deputy Division Manager to oversee operations and personnel across multiple programs, develop and evaluate service delivery, and coordinate resources to meet community needs.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of supervisory or administrative experience in human services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Public Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Valid Driver's License by date of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee policy and procedure standards across assigned programs; continuously evaluate operational performance, efficiency and service quality.
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations; ensure program compliance and brief the Division Manager on regulatory shifts.
  • Assist supervisors in managing high-level escalations, mediating complex complaints, and resolving disputes involving staff, clients, and vendors.
  • Lead the development, execution, and evaluation of staff safety protocols, facility security standards, and emergency preparedness policies.
  • Serve as lead designated essential staff with OEM; direct emergency response operations, mass care and community sheltering strategies.
  • Direct division-wide safety drills, risk assessments and emergency training to maintain workforce readiness and business continuity.
  • Provide administrative and operational leadership including personnel management, resource allocation and program oversight.
  • Establish data-driven performance measures, compliance tracking systems and audit workflows.
