Josephine County seeks a Deputy District Attorney to participate in daily criminal prosecutions and to handle cases from charging through trial. The attorney will conduct legal research, advise police agencies, and work under the supervision of the District Attorney or senior Deputy District Attorneys.

Ideal candidates will be graduates from an ABA-accredited law school and a current member in good standing of the Oregon State Bar.

Formación

• ABA accredited school of law graduation required.
• Must be a member in good standing of the Oregon State Bar.
• Some professional legal experience preferred; internship/clerkship acceptable.

Responsabilidades

• Participates in daily preparation and presentation of criminal prosecutions.
• Represents the State in less complex, routine assignments.
• Performs legal research and supports District Attorney and trial team reviews.
• Handles charging decisions, trial preparation, and post-conviction matters as assigned.
• Works under professional direction and adheres to office policies and procedures.
