Job summary

Clatsop County seeks a Chief Deputy District Attorney to assist in the administration and operation of the District Attorney’s Office. You will lead, supervise and mentor Deputy District Attorneys, coordinate with partner agencies, and help manage complex prosecutions to ensure integrity and effectiveness.

The role includes training and coaching, workload monitoring and assignment, reviewing work for accuracy and compliance, and performance management.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and admittance to Oregon State Bar.
• Five (5) years’ experience as a Deputy District Attorney.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight in the District Attorney’s Office.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and supervise Deputy District Attorneys.
• Train, coach and counsel, monitor workloads, and review work for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform performance management and serve as Supervising Attorney for SPPE attorneys certified by the Oregon State Bar Association.
