The City of Scottsdale is seeking a forward-thinking Deputy Director Water Quality to lead the drinking water program within the Water Resources Division. You will direct facilities and staff, guide policy and programs, and advance scientific efforts that protect public health and support long-term environmental stewardship.

This role emphasizes inclusive leadership and collaboration across teams, with a mid-point salary around $155,355 per year.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in a Physical or Biological science or related field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in an environmental laboratory and/or water quality regulatory compliance.
• Five years of demonstrated successful management experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

Aufgaben

• Directs and manages the Water Resources Division facilities and staff that implement Water Quality functions in response to Federal, State and Local environmental regulations.
• Acts as a technical advisor and performs policy-level coordination, advisory and administrative functions relating to the regulatory compliance of all areas of the laboratory and drinking and reclaimed water systems.
