Job summary

The State of Maryland seeks a Deputy Director for the Office of Eligibility Services (OES) at MDH in Baltimore. You will plan, direct, and evaluate operations across three sub-directorates and ensure Medicaid eligibility determinations align with federal and State requirements.

This leadership role requires strategic oversight of MAGI/non-MAGI eligibility, policy, training, and system integrity, with hybrid on-site/remote work expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health or public administration field.
• Six years of health or human services admin/professional experience.
• Three years of supervisory or managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, supervise, administer, and evaluate OES operations.
• Lead three sub-directorates: Eligibility Determination; Policy & Operations; and Systems Reconciliation.
• Oversee Medicaid eligibility policy, enrollment and program integrity initiatives.
• Represent the agency before federal, state officials and executives.
