Position Overview

This position serves as the Deputy Director in the Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Human Resources Directorate. The role involves supporting strategic HR initiatives, managing daily operations, and providing analysis on a range of Human Resources topics with broad policy guidance. The incumbent operates with a high degree of independence, coordinating with Senior Leadership within USACE, Department of Army, and Department of Defense, and requires innovative problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and implement strategic HR initiatives.
  • Manage daily HR operations and official correspondence.
  • Provide analysis and input on HR policies and issues.
  • Coordinate office operations and administrative support to enable senior leadership.
  • Participate in planning and management studies related to organizational changes.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Current, permanent USACE employees at GS-13/14/15 grade levels only.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for TDY or business trips.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid state driver's license.
  • Application must be submitted within the open period (06 May - 16 May 2025).
