Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks an experienced operations leader to coordinate cross-system activities, ensure optimal use of human and material resources, and support leadership on operational matters. You will implement program guidelines, monitor compliance, and drive efficiency across projects.

You will work with diverse stakeholders to maintain regulatory standards, develop budgets, and oversee staff performance while fostering patient-centered, efficient health services across facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum stated: Master’s degree with 5 years’ admin/managerial experience or Bachelor’s with 6 years’ experience.
• Equivalent combination of training, education and experience may apply; minimum Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Directs administrative and operational functions across health care settings.
• Develops and implements programs, policies, guidelines and monitoring techniques.
• Designs control mechanisms for program review and evaluation.
• Investigates operational activities and recommends corrective actions.
• Monitors progress and expedites improvements in operations.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to implement best practices and achieve benchmarks.
• Maintains liaison between units and Central Office to ensure effective coordination.
• Oversees special programs and represents the System in external meetings.
• Assists in operating budget development and ensures expenditures stay within guidelines.
• Participates in meetings, conferences and seminars affecting operations.
• Supervises staff and assesses performance, driving productivity.
• Prepares comprehensive reports on operational activities and initiatives.
