Job summary

Low Income Investment Fund is hiring a Deputy Director, Operations & Grants Mgmt in Atlanta. You will oversee grants management and budget reporting for LIIF’s Programs team, ensuring compliance and profitability targets across contracts with funders and partners.

The role requires extensive grants/contract experience, strong analytics, and ability to lead and develop a small team; familiarity with public and private funding is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; master’s preferred.
• Seven+ years of contracts/grants experience.
• Strong budgeting, nonprofit accounting knowledge.
• Analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
• Confidential information handling and integrity.
• Proficient in Excel/PowerPoint; Salesforce knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance and Programs to review contracts and grant budgets.
• Lead negotiations with program teams to ensure mission alignment.
• Prepare revenue recognition memos for complex grants.
• Manage 1–2 staff; ensure accurate billing and reporting.
• Ensure grants in Salesforce are recorded correctly.
• Produce monthly/quarterly/annual budget-to-actual analyses.
• Lead monthly budget review meetings with program teams.
• Oversee timely invoicing and grantor payments.
