Job summary

The Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce seeks a Deputy Director to assist the Executive Director in implementing economic development programs. This role leads industry support, retention and expansion, and supports PILOT initiatives, workforce development, and product development.

Responsibilities include coordinating with businesses and agencies, preparing reports, and providing leadership in the Executive Director’s absence. Strong financial and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economic Development, or closely related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in economic development or related area.
• Strong Excel and data analytics skills; financial reporting and incentive program knowledge.
• Leadership, communication, and ability to work independently with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Director in implementing programs and initiatives.
• Lead industry support, retention and expansion, and coordinate PILOT initiatives.
• Represent the department at meetings, prepare reports and presentations.
• Provide departmental leadership in the Executive Director's absence and supervise as assigned.
• Oversee development and administration of bonds for title projects, grants, and incentives.
