The North Carolina Department of Justice seeks a Deputy Director to oversee the Education and Training Section within the Criminal Justice Standards Division. You will lead program delivery, ensure training standards are applied consistently across schools and agencies, and supervise staff responsible for basic and in-service training.

Collaborating with the N.C. Justice Academy, colleges, and law enforcement partners, you will guide curriculum development, compliance, and program

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree plus four years of progressively responsible experience in criminal justice, including supervisory experience.
• Experience leading criminal justice education and training programs as a school director, training administrator, or supervisor.
• Experience developing, reviewing, implementing, or evaluating curricula and instructional programs.
• Experience interpreting and applying criminal justice training standards and administrative rules.

Responsabilidades

• Direct daily operations of the Education and Training Section; set priorities, assign responsibilities, monitor quality and timeliness of work.
• Supervise staff administering Commission education and training programs; conduct performance reviews and coaching.
• Develop procedures to promote consistent decisions, accurate records, and responsive service.
• Assist the Director with recruitment, onboarding, and development of Section personnel; oversee training program approvals and compliance.
