Parsons in Newark, NJ is seeking a Deputy Design Manager to lead design oversight on a premier infrastructure program focused on heavy rail systems and tunneling. You will coordinate design activities with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, a PE license, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive design through planning, detailed design, and reviews on a complex Gateway project between

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Eng or related field; Master's preferred.
• 15+ years of related work experience with supervisory roles.
• PE license or equivalent certification.
• Experience leading design on large tunneling/underground projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bentley software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assist in oversight of the design team and coordinate activities for Heavy Rail Systems.
• Manage the design process: planning, concept development, detailed design, and reviews.
• Ensure deliverables meet requirements, client expectations, and standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to integrate design elements.
• Review drawings, calculations, and docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Support value engineering, design optimization, and transition to construction.
