The selected applicant will maintain court records, assist the Judge and Prosecutor, assist customers on the telephone and in person at the cashier's window, implement office procedures and does related work as required. Works as part of a team.
Supervision is provided by the Court Administrator.
Salary negotiable within posted range only: $20.00/hour to $23.00/hour. Municipal Court works four ten hour days each week.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Four years general business and clerical experience involving customer contact and fiscal responsibility. Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) training courses as outlined by Emergency Management after hire.
A desirable candidate has a working knowledge of court operations, policies and procedures. Level I of the Municipal Court Clerk Certification through the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center (TMCEC) or the ability to obtain this certification within two years of employment.
Low: Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently or negligible amounts consistently. Requires walking or standing.
