Job summary

CFS in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Deputy Controlling Manager to partner with the CFO-level leadership and drive FP&A, cost accounting, inventory management and financial reporting in a hands-on manufacturing finance environment.

This role covers budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and internal controls, with ERP experience (SAP preferred). You'll lead the Controlling team and influence operational decisions through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in controlling, finance, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance.
• ERP experience required; SAP or similar systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Analyze financial results, cost performance, and operational trends to provide actionable recommendations.
• Monitor inventory, raw materials, working capital, and excess/obsolete inventory performance.
• Prepare and review management reporting, variance analysis, and financial presentations.
• Support internal controls, audit activities, and financial compliance initiatives.
• Act on behalf of the Controlling Manager when delegated and assist with leadership of the controlling function.
