Job summary

Qualifications

• Must understand advanced operational, technical, or office processes.
• Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Active sworn law enforcement status or equivalent combination required.

Responsibilities

• Enforces federal, state, and local laws by serving warrants and civil papers.
• Makes arrests when necessary under supervision.
• Serves evictions and writs and maintains peace during removals.
• Patrols county roads and city streets, issuing citations as needed.
• Verifies information on documents to be served.
• Prepares and returns legal documents and routes information across the county.
• Executes Mental Health warrants/commitments when required.
• Provides court testimony and writes reports.
