RK&K is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer in Baltimore to lead the cybersecurity program, build a standalone function, and separate security from traditional IT operations. You will partner with the CIO to shape strategy, governance, and risk management while ensuring protection for people, data, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, cybersecurity, risk management, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity leadership including security operations and incident response.
• Experience developing strategy, roadmaps, policies, and governance processes.
• Strong knowledge of security operations: monitoring, detection, response, vulnerability management, and IAM.
• Experience with cyber risk assessments and executive risk reporting.
• Ability to lead strategically while hands-on in security.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day cyber operations and execute RK&K’s cybersecurity roadmap.
• Develop multi-year cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals and client needs.
• Provide regular security posture and risk reporting to CIO and executives.
• Advise on cybersecurity budget, staffing, and vendor selection.
• Create annual and multi-year security plans with milestones and KPIs.
• Represent cybersecurity in strategic technology planning and digital initiatives.
