Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a senior hardware/software engineer to ensure development, verification, and sustainment meet high standards for the Sentinel program. You will balance technical performance with cost and schedule while coordinating with PMTs and cross‑program reviews.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, 16+ years with a B.S. or 14+ with a M.S., and strong C++ embedded software expertise.

Qualifications

16+ years of experience with Bachelors in STEM; 14+ years with Masters in STEM.
US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance and reinvestigation in last 6 years; ability to obtain SAP.
+10 years of SW experience including C++, real-time embedded software and full software lifecycle.
+5 years of Hardware/Software integration with system architecture and testing.
Experience in engineering metrics, EVMS, and schedule planning.
Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

Ensure development, verification, production, and sustainment comply with policies and quality standards.
Maintain a technical baseline balancing performance with cost and schedule, focusing on KPIs and TPMs.
Support PMT meetings: TRB, WSWG, CCB, PMR, PI planning and ROMB.
Resolve cross-team disconnects to meet system performance.
Support SDS sector initiatives on tools, processes, and technical reviews.
Champion strategic technical objectives within Sentinel and SDS division.
