Job summary

Arts for Learning Maryland is seeking a Deputy Chief of OST to provide strategic vision, executive oversight, and cross-team alignment across ESY, SALA, and Afterschool programs. The role drives district partnerships, revenue strategies, and program cohesion while empowering Directors to manage daily operations.

The position emphasizes antiracist leadership, fiscal governance, and outcome-focused program delivery, with Maryland knowledge and strong collaboration skills helping expand OST

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Arts Administration, Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, or related field.
• 5-6 years of progressive leadership experience managing large-scale youth development, OST, or educational programs.
• 3 years of experience directly supervising full-time managerial staff and building high-functioning teams.
• Experience securing public grants, writing proposals, or expanding fee-for-service revenue in a non-profit setting.
• Fiscal management experience with multi-million dollar budgets and contract/MOU compliance.

Responsibilities

• Establish a unified vision and long-term goals for OST at Arts for Learning with cross-team alignment.
• Lead and supervise Directors and managers, ensuring accountability and growth.
• Advance antiracist, equitable, and culturally responsive practices across OST programming.
• Partner with districts and external agencies to expand OST opportunities and funding.
• Oversee fiscal governance, budgets, reprojections, and financial reporting for OST.
• Ensure program quality with evaluation frameworks and continuous improvement.
