Bronx County District Attorney's Office is seeking a Deputy Chief of Communications to lead the Communications / Public Information Unit, supervise a team, and manage media relations for the Bronx community.

In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Chief of Communications.
The Communications / Public Information Office is looking for a Deputy Chief of Communications, who should have strong knowledge of New York City, the Bronx, the Criminal Justice System, police issues and crime as well as past experience as a journalist covering these subjects.
The Deputy Chief of Communications will use their knowledge and experience to assist the Chief of Communications in handling media requests and disseminating news of the Bronx District Attorney’s Office to the media and the public as well as handling internal communications for the Office.
Hours / Shift: Monday - Friday, some nights and weekends.
DEPUTY DIR OF COMMUNICATIONS - 30823
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and four years of progressively responsible experience in journalism, public relations, advertising, or closely related fields.
2. High school diploma or its educational equivalent and 8 years of full-time, paid experience in the areas stated in "1" above.
