Bronx County District Attorney's Office (BXDA) seeks experienced Trial Preparation Assistants in the Trial Division – General Crimes Bureau to aid in case preparation from intake to final disposition. Responsibilities include compiling, analyzing, redacting, and reproducing documents for discovery, filing, legal research, witness communication, and assisting ADAs in court and at trials.

Specific duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
A VALID NEW YORK STATE DRIVERS LICENSE WITH A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) YEARS OF DRIVING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE MAINTAINED FOR THE DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT.

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
PREFERRED SKILLS:-
A baccalaureate degree preferred or a high school diploma with four (4) years of work experience in a law firm, governmental agency, civic or community organization.
A valid New York State driver’s license with a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience is required and must be maintained for the duration of employment.
Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Discretion and integrity to work on highly confidential investigations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with general court services and functions.
