Job description

Partners with the VP-Compliance to develop, enhance, and maintain the organization's Compliance Program. Memorializes and maintains the program roadmap for goal and work plan implementation with attention to future development as designed by organization and board leadership, striving for best practice program activities. Assists VP-Compliance in the preparation and implementation of short- and long-term strategic and operating plans for enhancing and operating the Samaritan Compliance Program. Fosters effective working relationships and builds credibility across the organization, supporting and nurturing the organization’s culture of compliance.

This is a remote position in which we are able to employ in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, or Wisconsin

This position would require pacific timezone hours.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Provides oversight and direction for compliance with applicable federal/state rules and regulations and internal policies and procedures. This department is responsible for all lines of business in all service locations.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in healthcare regulatory compliance, computer science, information technology, or a similarly related field of study required.

Five (5) years experience in the following required:

Healthcare with a strong understanding of healthcare operations and healthcare data or similar environments and data.

Related healthcare information technology experience and how it applies in healthcare context.

Database management, strong data collection, analysis, and problem-solving. Demonstrated working knowledge of Excel VBA, MS Access
and other such software required.

Managing programmatic activity and demonstrating great attention to detail and ability to operate in an independent and collaborative
manner.

Leading collaborative teams for large, cross-discipline projects. Experience in managing teams to develop and implement annual work plans while absorbing for-cause projects into plan, when necessary.

Data architecture and data visualization platforms like Power BI, Tableau.

Three (3) years experience in implementing enterprise-wide management of healthcare compliance risk activities and solutions in the healthcare industry required.

Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting bodies (e.g., CMS; HHS, including OCR and OIG; HFS; JC; etc.) required.

Experience with compliance related software required.

Experience in data warehousing, SQL, metadata management, master data management, and data modeling is highly preferred.

Certifications in Risk Management, Project Management and Six Sigma preferred.
