Cook County is seeking a Deputy Bureau Chief, Asset Management, in Chicago to advance asset management strategies and policies across real estate, facilities, and capital projects. The role supports budgeting, program oversight, and cross-functional leadership within the bureau.

The position emphasizes collaboration with senior leadership, external agencies, and elected officials, ensuring effective implementation of asset management initiatives and reliable reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Five (5) years of experience in real estate, construction management, business administration, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing asset management strategies, policies, projects and objectives.
• Support development of budgets and oversee program progress.
• Coordinate with managers, supervisors, consultants and external agencies on asset management initiatives.
• Evaluate and improve asset-related programs and processes.
• Oversee major projects and ensure alignment with senior leadership expectations.
