The Deputy Attorney General represents the Department of Human Services and the Nevada Health Authority, primarily as litigation counsel before state and federal courts. This position can be filled in either Las Vegas, Reno or Carson City, depending on the chosen candidate and the needs of the agency.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school is required.
• Candidate must be licensed by a State bar in good standing.
• Minimum of three (3) years as a licensed attorney.

• Strong written and verbal communication, legal analysis, planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively and manage assigned matters with increasing independence and responsibility.
• Experience in litigation, administrative law, contract review, open meeting law, or advising public agencies, boards, or commissions is highly desirable.
