The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General seeks an attorney to join the Litigation Section in Pittsburgh. The Deputy Attorney General II/III handles civil rights, constitutional, and employment matters, defending the Commonwealth and state agencies in federal court with guidance from senior colleagues.

The role requires strong communication, research, and writing skills, and the ability to manage a full caseload.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and PA Bar admission.
• Excellent communication, research, and writing abilities.
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, try, and argue cases in PA federal and state courts.
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and court papers.
• Conduct legal research and assist with e-discovery.
• Advise clients and coordinate with supervisor and colleagues.
• Take and defend depositions of parties and experts.
• Contribute to litigation strategy with the team.
