Job summary

The Town of Leesburg seeks a Deputy of Administration for the Department of Utilities to lead budget development, tracking, and reporting, and to manage staff and policy initiatives. You will support strategic planning, rate studies, customer service, and financial functions while acting as an extension of the Director's guidance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Deputy Director of Engineering and Operations, guiding staff, and driving organizational effectiveness and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, or related degree.
• MBA, MPA or related degree.
• Twelve years of progressively responsible management-related experience in municipal government accounting, budgeting or finance.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership for the Department of Utilities, including budget development, tracking and reporting.
• Conduct utility rate studies and implementation.
• Oversee customer service, personnel matters and staff development.
• Support strategic planning, policy management and coordination of staff and projects.
• Partner with managers to foster relationship building, performance management and organizational culture.
• Act as Director’s deputy in coordination with Deputy Director of Engineering and Operations.
