Alerus, a commercial wealth bank and national retirement provider, seeks a Lead for Deposit Operations Servicing in Fargo, ND. You will mentor a team of specialists, ensure accurate client account handling, and maintain high standards of regulatory compliance while collaborating with Sales and IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance or related field.
• 7–10 years of Deposit Operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of deposits, bank operations, products, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive work while staying organized.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and oversee day-to-day activities of the Deposit Operations Specialists team.
• Maintain client focus and partner with Sales and IT to deliver exceptional client experience while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Research and resolve time-sensitive or complex requests, guiding the team for accurate handling.
• Use reporting to identify improvements, monitor performance, and set expectations.
• Create, update, and train team members on servicing processes and procedures.
• Collaborate on projects to develop new systems or test changes.
• Serve as SME on documentation, systems, processes, policies, compliance, and regulations for deposit operations.
• Oversee day-to-day management and escalate operational issues as needed.
• Pursue ongoing education and complete required regulatory and skills-based training.
