Job summary

Southern First Bank in Greenville, SC seeks a Deposit Processing Manager to lead the Deposit Operations team, ensuring secure, accurate handling of checks, adjustments and related functions.

You will supervise staff, drive process improvements, perform reconciliations, resolve deposit issues, and coordinate currency orders, ATM deposits and mobile deposits.

A four-year degree and 3+ years of supervisory experience in financial services, plus strong Excel/Word skills, are required.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in financial services or operations.
• Ability to manage multiple processes and problems in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and with the Deposit Operations team.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Deposit Operations staff to perform daily functions.
• Perform and verify complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Research and document deposit-related issues and exceptions.
• Oversee check handling, returns, and currency adjustments.
• Review and approve rate adjustments per policy and client instructions.
• Resolve QC-document exceptions and maintain file updates with controls.
• Coordinate currency orders for ATMs and branches; ensure cash readiness.
• Monitor ATM deposit functionality and coordinate with vendors.
