Job summary

United Community in Blairsville, GA is seeking a Deposit Operations Specialist to perform duties related to new and updated deposit accounts, including checking, savings, IRA, HSA, and COD products, while ensuring compliance with bank policies.

You will support branch staff by phone and email, verify documentation, process account maintenance, and assist with training. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of IRA and HSA rules, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ College Degree preferred or combination of education and/or work related experience.
• 1-2 years’ experience as a CSR or in a related field preferred.
• Good understanding of bank operations functions, policies, procedures, state / federal laws, and IRA and HSA regulations as related to job role.

Responsibilities

• Receive and service customer phone calls and emails from bank representatives.
• Provide efficient, accurate, and high-quality service while maintaining good customer relations.
• Support bank locations with proper styling of new and updated deposit accounts including IRA and HSA products.
• Verify deposit account documentation for compliance using manuals, CIP policies, and bank forms.
• Review authorities from entity agreements and supporting documents (e.g., Letters Testamentary, POA, Trusts).
• Generate and process deposit account corrections to meet bank policies.
