Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Deputy Deployment Lead to oversee on-site and automated deployment of platform, network, firewall, backup/recovery, and DevOps capabilities. You will coordinate with engineering, operations, logistics, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful installation, configuration, and acceptance at customer sites.

The role requires strong coordination, technical oversight, and execution skills to field capabilities and achieve operational readiness across customer environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a systems administrator supporting large user populations.
• 5+ years with Linux and Windows servers and workstations.
• 5+ years with OS/app hardening including DISA standards.
• 5+ years with deployment, patch management, and backup/restore.
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and execute site deployments.
• Lead integrated infrastructure deployment at sites.
• Develop deployment plans, schedules, readiness criteria.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Platform, Network, and more.
• Serve as technical liaison among on-site teams and customers.
• Lead site readiness, verify facilities, power, cabling, credentials.
• Conduct readiness reviews and go/no-go for deployment.
• Oversee installation, configuration, testing, and acceptance.
• Ensure alignment with architecture and security requirements.
• Identify risks and manage blockers and dependencies.
• Track deployment status in PM tools.
• Capture lessons learned and transition to operation.
