Job summary

Leidos seeks a Deputy Deployment Lead to guide on-site deployment of platform, network, firewall, backup, and DevOps capabilities. You will coordinate with engineering, operations, logistics, and customers to ensure configurations are installed, integrated, validated, and formally accepted at sites.

The role requires strong coordination, technical oversight, and execution skills to enable smooth fielding and operational readiness across customer environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and 8+ years of relevant experience; substitution allowed.
• Extensive experience as a systems administrator supporting large user populations.
• 5+ years hands-on with Linux and Windows servers/workstations.
• 5+ years with OS/app hardening (DISA standards).
• 5+ years deployment, patching, backup/recovery experience.
• Experience coordinating complex site deployments and acceptance activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication; travels for local/CONUS/OCONUS trips.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and execute site deployments with Deployment Lead/PMO.
• Lead infrastructure deployment at contractor and customer sites.
• Maintain deployment plans, schedules, checklists, and criteria.
• Coordinate across Platform, Network, Firewall, IaaS, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Test.
• Serve as liaison among on-site teams, remote engineers, leadership, stakeholders.
