Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deployed Network Support Specialist to support a company focused on expeditionary communications and network operations within the defense sector. This position is on‑site in Carderock, MD. The Deployed Network Support Specialist will provide hands‑on network and systems support to deployed units during planning, execution, and post‑deployment phases. This role directly supports mission‑critical operations by ensuring secure, reliable connectivity for forward‑deployed personnel in dynamic operational environments.

Responsibilities for the Deployed Network Support Specialist include:

• Providing network engineering and technical guidance during deployment planning and execution phases
• Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange environments
• Delivering direct computer and network support to deployed units, including rapid resolution of operational issues
• Supporting Information Assurance (IA) training initiatives and assisting with the D‑30 deployment process
• Coordinating logistics for deployment hardware and software, including transportation, import permits, foreign clearances, and post‑deployment documentation

Required Qualifications for the Deployed Network Support Specialist include:

• 4+ years of experience providing network or systems support in deployed or operational environments
• Experience with enterprise networking technologies including routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate effectively in high‑tempo, mission‑critical settings
• IATII certification & willingness to get CCNA
