Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Tech Coordinator 3 to support logistics operations for aeronautics systems at Edwards AFB. The role involves preparing documentation, managing spares, tools, test equipment, and manuals for deployment and stock, and updating maintenance records.

The candidate will determine material requirements and maintain accurate records to sustain the product life cycle, working cross‑functionally across supply chain disciplines.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and ability to obtain SAP clearance in a timely manner.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field preferred.
• Hazardous Materials / Dangerous Goods training or certifications preferred.
• Willingness to deploy for extended periods and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation defining scope and quantities of spares, tools, test equipment, and manuals to be deployed and stocked.
• Determine maintenance and repair material requirements for deployment.
• Update maintenance records and repair standards for complex equipment and components.
• Develop requisitions and maintain records for equipment, parts, and manuals.
• Track materials to ensure proper storage allocation.
• Review configuration changes for impacts on logistics deployment.
• Document equipment conditions and identify required support documentation.
• Provide cross-functional support across supply chain disciplines for deployments and operations.
• Perform manual material movement, shipping, receiving, and loading of aircraft.
• Handle controlled/classified items per procedures.

Position Summary

At Northrop Grumman, the Supply Chain Tech Coordinator 3 will support logistics operations for aeronautics systems in Edwards, AFB. The role involves preparing documentation, managing spares, tools, test equipment, and manuals for deployment and stock, determining maintenance and repair material requirements, and updating maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation defining scope and quantities of spares, tools, test equipment, and manuals to be deployed and stocked.
• Determine maintenance and repair material requirements for deployment.
• Update maintenance records, including repair standards for complex equipment and components.
• Develop requisitions and conduct inventory and maintain records for equipment, components, repair parts, and manuals.
• Track materials and parts to ensure proper storage allocation.
• Review configuration changes to assess impacts on logistics deployment.
• Document equipment and component conditions and identify required support documentation to sustain the product life cycle.
• Provide cross‑functional support across supply chain disciplines for deployments, logistics, and business operations.
• Perform manual material movement, shipping, receiving, and loading aircraft.
• Handle controlled and classified items in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Work independently when deployed.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in logistics support, shipping/receiving, warehousing, and/or inventory control.
• Ability to meet medical and vaccination requirements for worldwide travel.
• Required to deploy away from the primary work location for up to 90 days within any rolling 12‑month period (possible extension to 180 days).
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable amount of time.
• Forklift certification.
• Ability to work in an approved environment during specified work hours, frequently moving and positioning objects weighing 30–50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. passport.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and be on call 24/7/365.
• Completion of Hazardous Materials / Dangerous Goods training with ongoing DOT, IATA, and AFMAN 24‑204 certifications.
• Willingness to work overtime, odd‑hour shifts, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field.
• Load planning certification.
• Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) certifications.
• Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) certification.
• Experience with Passport, SAP, ASAP, BarCloud systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $26.92 – $44.90 per hour. Salary is based on scope of responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions. Potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives for senior positions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability coverage, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off.
