Job summary

SAIC seeks a Systems Administrator for the Joint Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program based out of Panama City, FL. You will work on deployable IT systems that communicate over satellite, and you may perform light programming or scripting to streamline workflows.

The role requires DoD 8570 Baseline cybersecurity certification (Security+) and IAT II or higher, with 2+ years of relevant experience or 4 years without a degree. Active Secret clearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience (4 years' experience in lieu of degree)
• DoD 8570 Baseline Cybersecurity Certification such as CompTIA Security+ (must have prior to hire)
• IAT Level II or above certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Work on deployable IT systems that communicate over satellite.
• Development and integration of new software and technology.
• Report and document issues and actions taken daily and weekly.
• Communicate effectively with end users via phone, email, chat, etc.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in timely manner according to mission guidelines.
• Installation of new hardware or software.
• Creating and managing user accounts.
• Maintaining computer systems such as servers and databases.
• Planning and properly responding to system outages and various other problems.
• May include light programming or scripting to make the system workflows easier.
• Training computer users and assistants.
