Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Edwards AFB, CA, seeks a Deployable Avionics Technician 2 to join our Aircraft Solutions team. You will install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics wiring in aircraft per specifications, read wiring diagrams, and fabricate harnesses.

This position requires DoD Secret with ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance, flexible schedule including extended shifts, and the physical ability to perform tasks up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Willing/able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
  • Accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 180 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces
  • Must be able to meet medical requirements and pass a physical for worldwide travel within a reasonable period of time after hiring as determined by the company
  • Ability to successfully pass vision screen and color blindness tests within a reasonable period of time after hiring as determined by the company

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Deployable Avionics Technician 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions organization. This role is located at Edwards AFB, CA.

Job Duties

Preferred Qualifications

Primary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
