State of Michigan through the Michigan State Police seeks a Unit Manager for the MSP Northern Regional Communication Centers Unit, Negaunee and Gaylord. You will oversee administrative communication support and emergency dispatch across designated districts and crime labs, guiding policy and program development.

This position provides for the administration and operation of the MSP Northern Regional Communication Centers Unit, Negaunee and Gaylord, which is responsible for providing administrative communication support and emergency dispatch service to all Posts within their designated district(s), crime laboratories, and numerous specialist units. As the Unit Manager, this person is responsible for program development and administration of a complex work area, including analyzing program operations, establishing Unit priorities, and directing and participating in the development and evaluation of policies and procedures. In addition, the manager is responsible for a variety of personnel matters; budgeting and financial management; and overseeing special projects and initiatives assigned by Section and Division Management. This position will perform functions in a bias free manner.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
This position requires passing a pre-employment screening, including passing a drug screen, criminal history background check, and a fingerprint check by the Michigan State Police.
