Position Overview

This position functions as a Compliance Monitoring Analyst (CMA) within the State Monitor Advocate (SMA) Office in the LEO-Targeted Services Division. Responsibilities include assisting the SMA with various tasks as defined by federal regulations, such as researching, analyzing, and interpreting data, drafting reports related to agricultural employer and migrant and seasonal farmworker (MSFW) employment & training activities, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate activities and assignments with the SMA, including statewide site reviews of Michigan Works! (MW!) One Stop Service Centers.
  2. Review training modules for service delivery to MSFWs and agricultural employers.
  3. Conduct field visits with SMA and outreach staff.
  4. Review MSFW performance data reported by outreach staff and service centers.
  5. Monitor delivery of MSFW outreach services, complaint systems, and data collection/reporting systems.
  6. Evaluate program performance against strategic and operational plans, including the Agricultural Outreach Plan (AOP).
  7. Prepare federal and state reports and make programmatic recommendations.
  8. Coordinate with program managers to strategize on resolving non-compliance issues.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience:

  • Departmental Analyst 9: No specific experience required.
  • Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience.
  • Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Language and Experience Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and English, with at least 2 years of experience working with MSFWs or 3 years of MSFW background/experience.

Additional Information

Other roles may require completion of high school and relevant experience, or equivalent military service. College credits can substitute for experience on a proportional basis.
