Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Department Support Assistant to join Labor and Delivery. This full-time role offers 32 hours/week with 7:00am–7:30pm shifts, every other weekend, and no travel. You will handle front desk duties, greet patients, and manage department mail and supplies in a busy hospital environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma and BLS certification; hospital experience and Epic knowledge are preferred. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other department related systems.
• Highest level of customer service skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year hospital experience preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• BLS (from American Heart Association) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides front desk coverage which includes answering and directing incoming calls.
• Greeting patients and family members and provide assistance as needed.
• Collecting and distributing department mail.
• Performs related general duties such as monitoring and ordering supplies, submitting work orders, collating and assembling documents.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
