About the Role

As a Department Supervisor, you will support the store's sales and profit goals by executing plans to deliver the best customer experience in your department and the overall store. You will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet customer and colleague expectations.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities:

  1. Customer Sales & Profit
  • Support the total OMNI customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial presentation according to global guidelines.
  • Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
  • Identify strengths and commercial opportunities in your department and collaborate with your Department Manager to act on them.
  • Ensure excellent customer service across all store areas and promote product sales.
  • Promote our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintain correct routines in fitting rooms and at checkout, including transactions, returns, and exchanges.
  • Handle all administrative routines properly for people and operations.
  • Fashion & Trend Awareness
    • Stay updated on fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers.
    • Provide product and fashion knowledge to customers through your team.
  • Team & Development
    • Share your knowledge and skills with the store team.
    • Collaborate with the Visual Merchandiser team.
    • Give and receive feedback to support learning and development.
    • Communicate regularly to motivate and inspire colleagues.
    • Ensure procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed in all areas.
  • Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution
    • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and back of house.
    • Ensure high-quality visual and product presentation.
    • Manage stock levels and provide input on allocation.
    • Oversee the full garment cycle and fitting room routines according to standards.
    • Utilize all tools and technology provided for store operations.
    • Maintain accurate pricing signs and store signage following guidelines.
    • Keep BOH areas tidy and information up-to-date.
    • Responsible for opening and closing the store daily.

    Compensation: $16.23 - $19.15 hourly
