About the Role

As a Department Supervisor, you will support the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing plans to deliver the best customer experience in the department and overall store. You will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities:

  • Support the total OMNI customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines.
  • Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
  • Identify commercial opportunities within your department and collaborate with your Department Manager to act on them.
  • Ensure excellent customer service across all store areas and promote products actively.
  • Encourage the use of our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and promote in-store sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintain correct routines in fitting rooms and at checkout, including transactions, returns, and exchanges.
  • Handle all administrative routines correctly for people and operations.

Fashion & Trend Awareness

  • Stay updated with fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers.
  • Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions.

Team & Development

  • Share your knowledge and skills with the store team.
  • Collaborate with the Visual Merchandiser team.
  • Provide and receive feedback to support development.
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues to motivate and inform.
  • Ensure procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed.

Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution

  • Keep the sales floor and back of house tidy and well-organized.
  • Ensure high-quality visual and product presentation.
  • Maintain stock levels and provide input on inventory allocation.
  • Manage the full garment cycle and fitting room routines according to standards.
  • Utilize in-store tech tools and services effectively.
  • Maintain consistent pricing signage following guidelines.
  • Keep BOH areas updated and safe.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the store daily.

Additional Information

Compensation: $18.29 - $21.58 hourly (expected base salary range)
