Posting Summary
The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS), New Brunswick, NJ, is seeking physician-scientists and investigators with an interest in infectious diseases to join the Division at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Medicine.
The faculty member will develop a clinical, translational, or basic science program and will have responsibilities teaching residents and infectious diseases fellows research skills. Physician-scientists will also participate in inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases services, mentoring residents and fellows. We are building a strong research group with a focus on various infectious diseases, supported by an outstanding scientific environment at Rutgers.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick is part of RWJBarnabas Health System, NJ's largest health system, offering growth opportunities for the infectious disease program. The system cares for about 40% of NJ residents and is a $5 billion enterprise.
Overview
The Department of Medicine at Rutgers RWJMS comprises approximately 150 paid and over 300 volunteer faculty members across 11 divisions, covering major medical subspecialties. Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) integrates education, clinical care, and research, with facilities across NJ, including partnerships with major hospitals.
