Hospitality Laboratories, LLC is seeking a Department Manager to lead a restaurant department (Kitchen, Service or People) and support the General Manager in Harford County, MD. This pivotal frontline role drives KPIs, customer experience and team performance to maintain high standards of food quality and hospitality.

The position offers an avenue for advancement to General Manager, flexible hours, and competitive benefits.

Hospitality Laboratories, LLC is an independent franchisee of McDonald’s Corporation. We are actively seeking leaders for our restaurants in Harford County, MD.

The Department Manager is a critical role in our restaurant — you will be leading a specific department (Kitchen, Service or People) while also leading the team on your assigned shifts. You will work with and without supervision from senior management, and you will provide supervision and guidance for junior-level managers.

In this role, you will manage specific metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) in your assigned department. You’ll also do your part to deliver world‑class service and hospitality, making the experience speedy for our guests, ensuring our food quality and safety is world‑class and supporting your team on shift. This is a front-facing role and we are looking for outgoing, vibrant hospitality champions to fill it.

Generally, we seek individuals with open availability to support this position. 2 years of experience as an hourly shift manager, or one year of salaried management experience is desired for this role.

This role is vitalto the operations within the restaurant because you’ll:

• Take action first: Lead important internal functions including Employee Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management
• Be results oriented: Effectively delegate tasks to team members and report back results
• Lead the experience: Directly support the General Manager to achieve restaurant performance and quality standards in three areas:
• Kitchen- supervise food quality, safety, cost, and new menu items
• People– hire, train, and schedule restaurant staff to meet sales and profit goals
• Service– deliver a memorable guest experience by ensuring all staff is trained and organizing key service areas within the restaurant to provide the best service
• Understand that teamwork is key: Partner with restaurant team to ensure safe and efficient operations of the restaurant
