Shaw’s and Star Market is seeking a Starbucks Department Manager to oversee daily department operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain Starbucks standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will lead hiring, training, and coaching of associates, manage inventory and product rotation, support budgeting, and ensure food safety and program compliance while partnering with store leadership to deliver a welcoming cafe experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Starbucks Department operations, ensuring strong customer service and operational consistency
• Support hiring, training, coaching, and development of Starbucks associates
• Maintain a customer-first environment and respond to service needs and concerns appropriately
• Coordinate daily activities and responsibilities to support smooth workflow and service levels
• Maintain calm, consistent operations during high-volume periods
• Execute company and Starbucks programs, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and product handling standards
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, product rotation, and storage
• Support department sales, budgeting, and expense management Maintain accurate communication with vendors, store management teams, and community partners
• Complete required reporting and administrative responsibilities
