Manager Responsibilities

• All managers, regardless of position, share responsibility for following the World Wide Wings Manager Description and the specific duties of this role.
• Heart of House (HOH) Department Manager: manage all food/product matters, staff planning and development; maintain a safe environment; improve profitability; assist the General Manager and supervise the restaurant shift‑by‑shift.
• Bar Department Manager: supervise the bar area; manage ordering, inventory, and Responsible Alcohol Service compliance; hire, train, and motivate bartenders and bar servers; maintain a safe environment and improve profitability.
• Hospitality Manager: supervise dining room service; manage hospitality team planning and development; maintain a safe environment.
• Team Functions: responsible for staffing, succession planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training and ongoing development to meet staffing guidelines; administer training, performance feedback and merit increases; coach and develop direct reports; coordinate with other managers on hiring decisions; create and implement incentive programs; ensure all team members have current required training and permits; attract new guests; manage the Guest Comment program and GEM feedback.
• Quality Operations – HOH: facilitate product rollouts; ensure standards for serving quality, recipe adherence, and portioning; communicate with vendors and hold them accountable; enforce menu specs and department systems; analyze performance tools (GEM, QSCs, audits, P&L); conduct administrative tasks and monitor equipment; ensure compliance with health and safety practices.
• Quality Operations – Bar: analyze performance tools; administer administrative tasks; monitor bar equipment for proper functioning and product quality.
• Sales and Profits – HOH: responsible for overall food cost, labor results, and maintaining inventory levels; order food and paper products; create projections; understand P&L and develop action plans.
• Sales and Profits – Bar: ensure bar cost tools are utilized; responsible for beverage costs and labor results; maintain inventory; manage waste, comps, voids, and discounts; create incentive contests.
• Hospitality Manager: assist with Local Restaurant Marketing; create sales incentive contests; perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment that includes wings, beer, and sports.
• Team‑focused, championing team success and providing necessary tools.
• Hands‑on availability for late nights and weekends.
• Highly motivated, self‑directed, results‑driven with strong organizational, detail orientation, and communication skills.
• Basic mathematical competency and experience managing multiple priorities.
• Confidentiality, adherence to company policies, and ability to enforce compliance issues.
• High school education or equivalent, valid driver’s license for unit travel, satisfactory background check, and ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program.
