Job summary

Pro Resources is seeking a motivated Department Leader to oversee daily operations in a restroom trailer manufacturing department. You will guide a production team, ensure safety, uphold quality, and hit production goals.

This hands-on role requires strong communication and a continuous improvement mindset, with collaboration across Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and other teams to resolve issues and drive lean initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience.
  • 2+ years leadership/supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read production schedules and manufacturing docs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production workers.
  • Plan and coordinate daily department activities to meet schedules.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and efficiency to meet specs.
  • Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate goals.
  • Identify process improvements to reduce waste and boost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and other departments.
  • Maintain production records and reports.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Pro Resources is seeking a motivated and results-driven Department Leader to oversee daily operations with in a restroom trailer manufacturing department. This role is responsible for leading a team of production team members, ensuring safety, maintaining quality standards, meeting production goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication skills and a commitment to operational excellence.

Shift and Compensation 1st Shift

Compensation is from 45,760 USD to 52,000 USD per year

Job Duties
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production team members
  • Plan and coordinate daily department activities to meet production schedules
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and efficiency while ensuring customer specifications are met
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate production goals, expectations, and updates
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce waste and increase efficiency
  • Monitor attendance, performance, and team member engagement
  • Assist with team member training, onboarding, and cross-training initiatives
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to resolve production issues
  • Ensure proper use of equipment, tools, and materials
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Address team members' concerns professionally and promote a positive team environment
Background ProfileRequired
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
PreferredExperience
  • Experience in trailer, automotive, RV, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, assembly, or production processes.
  • Associate's degree or technical certification is a plus.
