Job summary

GA Telesis is seeking a Department Lead for the Small Parts Shop in Medley, FL. The role supervises shift personnel, coordinates daily activities, and monitors production processes to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met.

You will train staff, resolve issues, and serve as a liaison between management and production employees to maintain smooth operations and high morale on the shop floor. This position is onsite in Medley.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for processes, equipment, safety, housekeeping, and production goals on shift
• Participate in hiring, training, performance appraisals, and discipline as required
• Address employee complaints and resolve work-related problems effectively

We are seeking a Department Lead to join the Small Parts Shop team. The Department Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the landing gear services facility’s production floor. This position supports supervisory functions by coordinating daily work activities, guiding production staff, and monitoring equipment and process performance. The Department Lead ensures that all safety protocols, quality standards, and production targets are consistently met, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. They serve as a key liaison between management and production employees, facilitating communication, training, and problem resolution to maintain smooth operations and high employee morale. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to lead by example in a fast‑paced, safety‑conscious environment. This position is based onsite in Medley, FL.

• Address employee complaints and resolve work‑related problems effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and facility goals

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training, or four years related experience
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience preferred
