Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required.
• Strong engineering background across design, implementation, integration.
• Experience with navigation systems and sensors.
• Project management skills: schedules, critical paths, reports.
• Experience with navigation system integration and test.
• Expertise with PNT technologies (Inertial, GPS, alternative navigation).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary staff in development, integration, test of high-performance navigation systems and sensors.
• Plan, staff, and execute programs ensuring department staffing needs are met.
• Recruit, retain, and set performance expectations for staff.
• Develop and utilize department staff and resources.
• Mentorship and career development of staff.
• Evaluate growth via performance reviews.
• Foster collaboration across department, division, office, and ARL.
• Support department programs and preparation/execution of budgets.
• Lead proposal and project development.
• Support strategic planning initiatives.
• Interact regularly with program management, sponsors and stakeholders.
• Perform engineering work related to navigation integration and test.
