An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Department Secretary to join their dynamic team. The Department Secretary works under the general supervision of the Manager. Job duties are primarily scheduling and registering patients. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and to use effective interpersonal and teamwork skills when working with a variety of people and situations. Must be able to prioritize assignments independently and participate in everyday problem-solving. Must have a quality orientation and be attentive to detail.
Education: High School diploma or GED required. An associate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years' experience as a secretary or receptionist is preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Proficient in the use of computerized spreadsheet and word processing applications. Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
